Our Canon XL2 has finally died and we're looking at replacing this with a Panasonic HVX204. Has anyone perhaps had experience using this camera with Avid? Are they compatible and are there any issues I should be aware of? We also shoot a lot of P2 on two HPX500s so a "small format" camera that handles both DV tape and P2 cards is quite

Guys, are there any Nitris DX hardware or firmware updates available? If so, can someone point me at them please. I love the DX but honestly, the analog audio on this thing needs serious help. Started the system up this morning after it worked like a charm last week and suddenly there's no audio coming out the the analog outputs. SDI is there and

I registered all my Avids, and then briefly connected my Nitris machine to my mobile phone to register Sorenson Squeeze. Normally none of my Avids are connected to the internet. I didn't remove that Nokia connection setting

Thanks Job, I'll give it a try. The folks whom I'm doing this piece for will be viewing it on ordinary interlaced monitors (read "cheap TVs and DVd players"). This stuff is not like the nice 25p you're used to, it really looks crap. I'm not sure if something's wrong with the camera but this thing's "25p" is

I've got a project that has a wide range of DV and SD formats combined, everything from DV to P2 to DVCPRO50. My current project type is 25i and my final delivery will be on SD DVD. My biggest problem, other than getting everything's colour matched, is getting three DV tapes with 25p, shot on a Canon XL1, to look like the rest of the 25i in
