My interpretation of the original post is that he was importing the image to a bin, then applying the effect to the clip on the timeline, which is not the correct use of that plugin. So yes, after you apply the P&S effect to a clip or filler, you must go to the effect controls and press the little square in the upper left hand corner and externally

Yeah, about version 7.6.4 It broke a good number of my apps including After Effects, Squeeze and Synthetic Aperture. Well, maybe broke is a harsh word, but After Effects would crash when choosing audio options with a Quicktime codec in the render queue. Squeeze would not load any quicktime presets and not provide AAC audio encoding with quicktime, and

Hi all, I hate to be this guy, cuzz I know this happens ALL THE TIME, but can someone point me towards a download for 7.6.2. I recently upgraded to MC 4 and it's compatible with 7.6.2, but of course I cannot find it on Apple.com nor on oldversions.com. Also, can someone remind me why Avid can't supply this on their website? Also, is it really

I have completed several projects shot with the 5Dmk2 on Avid. Everything does seem to work just fine (in NTSC land). I recently upgraded to MC4.0 and see that it now has 1080p as well, so I'm excited to try using that (as opposed to 1080i from previous MC versions).

Media Composer 4.0 here. If I have Quicktime files that are 29.97p, and I want to edit those into a 23.976 timline, how do I import those files without the transcode process making them into 23.976 files? Rather, I wish to keep the files as 29.97, but use the new Mix and Match feature to put a motion effect to adapt them to the 23.976 timeline. Do I

I've been running the Release Candidate for the past few months now, and I have not had a problem. 64 bit version.

How can I import a quicktime as 2:1-progressive and not 2:1-interlaced in an 29.97 SD project??

The interlaced/non-interlaced option doesn't do it. When rendering an Avid codec movie (Meridian compressed) from outside Media Composer, I get the option for 2:1-interlaced or 2:1-progressive... but I don't seem to get that option anywhere inside Media Composer??
