Make sure the deck is not set to downconvert. If you can see a picture on an attached ntsc monitor that is the case.

I just wish that someone @ Avid would at least acknowledge the problem and give some sense of when it would be addresed. Dozens of systems to update; I need to inform people what version it will be within a couple of weeks.

So is this an officially recognized bug? When will it be addressed? A have a few dozen systems to setup and need to know ASAP!

"But, if you shoot on 24p MiniDV (ie, fake 24), then you're really shooting at 30i and should capture/edit as such. " This is certainly NOT true. 24p cameras do capture at 24 (23.97) and introduce a 2:3 pulldown. Choosing a 23.97 ntsc project removes this pulldown. The resultant media is true (24)23.97 psf. The only time there is a problem

1-hdsdi does not carry deck control info just av signal info. It is probably just recognizing the vitc signal. 2-Have you set up the camera to downconvert or do you have a mojo dx?

"Avid ultimately responded to these business developments in a strategically sensible way, offering all computer users everywhere a polished platform-agnostic editing tool." I wish they would really do this and make their hardware usable by 3rd party apps! What is wrong with this stupid company? If they want to sell hardware why don't they

The thing that no one at Avid could confirm is whether compatibilty is independent on versions. i.e. what happens if I upgrade one or the other apps? I am going to keep them on separate partitions until we get further clarification.

"I also disabled the onboard sound card hoping Avid would see only the Mojo. I really only use the Mojo anyway and have nothing plugged into the sound card. But it didn’t either." By this do you mean it didn't work? You probably need to remove the driver for the on board sound as well and reboot.

"I have been outputting and monitoring 1080p on a 720p monitor without any issue." I use Raw pixel mode so that the Avid does less work when presenting to thescreen. I let the display controller in the MXO box scale for me. Uh the MXO DOES work with the Avid in conjunction with Fullscreen mode but only works well with Progressive media. And

Optimum reslution for playback depends on the media. Ideally your display resolution is set so it matches or is compatible with the Raw Pixel option in the Fullscreen settings. This way Avid or the display card doesn't have to do any scaling.
