  • Re: Sequence too long... Avid 2018.4

Hi Jef, Yes that's the same issue I'm having. I used to be able to use the playlength button to alleviate this problem but it doesn't seem to be working the same in this version of Avid. -LPG

  • Sequence too long... Avid 2018.4

Hello, I'm currently getting the following error on long sequences in Avid 2018.4.0, working in Mac 10.11.6 In past versions of Avid I would click the playlength button and this would go away. For this version, if I click the playlength button it will let me play the sequence, but as soon as I make a change to the sequence the error pops up again

  • Frame Flex Question

Hello, We are editing in a 1920x1080 project with some footage that was shot 2720 x 1530, 4k, and other random aspect ratios. We're working in Avid 8 and the clips have the frame flex option, but I was wondering if there's an easy way to tell how much you can zoom into an image before you start losing quality. Is there a way with frame flex

  • Exporting 4 Audio Split Quicktime

Hello, I was wondering how to go about exporting a quicktime with 4 split audio tracks. The quicktime needs to be Prores 422. I've made split DNX quicktimes in the past by exporting a qtref and then opening with quicktime 7 and going to "save as..", "Self contained movie", but not sure how to make one that's prores. -LPG

  • Re: AMA Clips Source Paths

Thank you both. We are connecting with SMB, same IP address at all times. I will do some research on the NAS connection and permissions, I don't know much about how that's setup.

  • AMA Clips Source Paths

Hi, We've been having an issue with AMA clips in Avid 6.5.4 on Mac 10.8.4. Our clips are being AMA'd from a NAS. Sometimes a clip will AMA with the full source path, i.e. "/Volumes/ay4_nas160401/AY4040416_1/AY40404_REALITY/GoPros/AY40404GP06/DCIM/999GOPRO/" And other times it will only show the drive name in the source path, i.e. "ay4_nas160401"

  • Re: AMA + Canon 70D footage not working

Hi, I'm having the same issues as mentioned in this thread. Crashes 3 different ways trying to get the files into Avid. Clips I do get to come in say "Wrong Format" even though I transcoded them to DNxHD 80. Working with Avid 7.0.4.1 on Mac 10.7.5. Any help please? -LPG

  • Re: Avid 7 Crash on Startup

Thank you Kevin. I'm pretty sure the system has stalled after a fresh boot and before the computer or any drives go to sleep. I'll investigate that further. The system is the first mac pro I've used with a p2 reader (AJ-PCD35) which has its own pci-express card inside the mac pro in order to operate. I've been curious if maybe there's

  • Re: MULTIGROUP Error (Still!!) MC 7.0.3 - Any moderator Help please!

I've had that error multigrouping in 24p projects. Here's a workaround - http://rittorno.wordpress.com/2013/08/08/avid-multigrouping-doesnt-work-24p-project/ I've also had that error if giving master clips tape names before they are consolidated or transcoded. You can try reassigning tape names to the master clips (even though they already
