Same error message as you guys, excpet it only happens when I have a deck or camera powered up. Since I don't usually edit with a deck on I hadn't noticed that problem. The deck also kills the multigroup function, in case anyone's interested.

I just had the same problem. I was editing and had to digitize a piece of video. When I went back to my multi group it wouldn't play. Turned off the DSR 11 and it was fine. Sure wish the error messages made sense, or at least there was some kind of look up table. Thanks Monkey!

Brian - thanks for the thoughts. I did try different levels, I did try subclips. Still no reading audiocode. Just upgraded to 5.7, no difference. Any one else?

It was recorded at NTSC 30 DF (29.97). I went to a post house today to make sure the code was good and it played throught several readers fine. Anyone?

I have two 5-camera shows that the company decided to put audio timecode on the left channel so that they can sync it in multicam and to a Protools recording (they were using Sony Z1U cmeras and somehow managed to not record HDV as well). The code is loud and clear on the left channel , but when I use the read audio time code tool in Xpress Pro 5.6

I have the no audio problem with a DSR11, DSR PD100A, HVR Z1U, and Sony DVMC DA-2. I am currently running Xpress 5.6.2, these devices last confirmed worked with 5.2 Gen Lee
