I can't remember how to place text on a curve in TDK Pro - but I don't think it can be animated along the curved line (in TDK) anyway. It would be easier to use BluffTitler with the Bixelangelo plug-in - then its as simple as drawing or creating the curve, selecting the font, colours etc. and adjusting one or two parameters. In BT, make the title as

I thinik you'll find, if you explore deeper, that BluffTitler is far far more capable at producing titling effects than Deko or HFX. It is a non standard interface in many respects, using the one set of controls for numerous different functions - and this can make people think it is limited in capability. The examples that are put up on their website

Lock down camera. Shoot each individually (from the same camera position), with approriate timings to allow for 'two-way' conversation. Edit == clips on two tracks, and split screen. Soften edge slightly. Works best if there's a vertical line in background at the 'split screen' point.

For more capable 3d titling and for creating motion backgrounds - using 3d models etc on as many layers as you want, have a look at BluffTitler at www.outerspace-software.com - and ignore all the flash designs etc shown on the site - they belittle a product that is capable of superb 'decent' titling, 3d effects and motion backgrounds - all they do show

There is a serious problem with the current version of HFX in that the timescale no longer reflects the length of the applied effect on the clip - it is always a fixed length now (1 second, for PAL, I think - but I'd have to recheck that) - no matter what scale is chosen. I reported this some time ago - I think the problem existed with the previous

Joe, my thoughts are with you and your family: many many thanks for all the work you have done for the video editing community in general, and Liquid users in particular. I for one have benefited greatly from your efforts, and wish and hope now that you may be able to relax and enjoy life as you so richly deserve.

Good grief, I didn't know that. Obviously I've never imported any of this newer stuff ... I must now go and explore. Then follow your procedure a little closer ...
-
I don't really understand your procedure. When I wanted one of Studio's motion backgrounds in Liquid, I simply 'imported' it. Or have I missed something here?

That about sums up the situation as I see it too. I'm not alone. Whew! And Hooray! Oh, and although it seems a bit like the tail is wagging the dog, Studio is the big, mass market earner (sales of over 10 million, I believe). So it probably gets first bite at the development cherry now (dare I say 'unfortunately'? Probably not). I'm sure that Liquid
