Just opened up MediaLog and then open my keyboard settings. There was only the basic deck control keys and in/out marks mapped. And there's no command palette available to add keys. This was on MC4.0 and XP Pro.

So this brings neatly round to my original question. If I install 4 or 5 SATA drives on RAID 5 (moving boot drive to IDE), would this leave me plenty of speed to work DNxHD 185x?

So does RAID 5 give any kind of speed hit? I might have to move my boot drive to IDE to get this to work.

Currently have my boot drive on SATA also. Not sure HP8400 supports SATA boot AND Raid 5 data SATA. How much storage do you get with 4 x 1TB in RAID 5?

Cheers. I was looking at 4 x 1TB Seagate Barracudas. Will 7200rpm be quick enough?

If you are watching the QT file on your PC monitor, then you may be seeing "field tearing", this is because your PC monitor cannot show the fields correctly. Once you burn the DVD it should be OK.
