Installed MC8.2 and now everything shows up in Application Manager. Bit of a problem if you want to run an older version on V8 dongle, as Dongle Manger no longer works...
-
Thanks for that. My MC does work fine, but is it normal for it to not show in Application Manager?

Yes, I have MC8 + Symph Option, so MC5.5 onwards is supported. However, just incase I've installed MC7. It runs fine with dongle (and states I have Symphony Option), so dongle is all good. App Manager takes an age to sync though, but will post once up and running.

Nope, no mention of Media Composer. I'm slightly worried because I can't scan using Dongle Manager anymore, and can't see anything in Application Manger. Dongle does run MC, but can't actually see what it is blessed for.

Application Manager 2.2.0 (current) Media composer is not listed (I thought that was because I hadn't installed v8) I've blasted the dongle, and it now runs MC.

Not sure where to post this, so excuse me if there is a better place for this. I've upgraded my Symph Nitris Dongle to MC8 + Syphony Option. My current hardware is won't run MC 8, so I currently have MC 6 installed. Dongle Manager no longer sees my dongle (due to update to MC8 I think). Application Manger seems to work, except the Licensing

Excellent, didn't want to upgrade and then have to fork out another 650 for symphony option. Thanks

I'm currently running Symphony v5 (dongle), but need to upgrade to MC6 or 7. I've had a look on the Avid store and it offers a upgrade via a 1 year support contract, but does this mean I need to purchase the Symphony option as an extra? Can't find any answer on the store site.

In theory yes. But I don't think you get a dongle when buying new software these days. Also, check the version matrix...
