You need to reinstall Avid Link to do the upgrade. The current issue is you can't uninstall using the remove Avid media Composer via the Add/Remove programs or via the uninstaller. Also your license will not take effect unless Avid link is installed.

A Mac will also support an exFAT drive as an external SSD drive. So does Windows. And the exFAT drive runs at USB3 speed, not USB2. Otherwise APFS for the Mac is the better route. I'm still running Liquid under Windows 10 Pro. This is what I use for S-Video and firewire input. I've another copy on an XP system that still works as well.

After installing MC 2023.12, my BMD drivers failed. You need a license to transcribe the audio. That's the only way to get an actual transcription of the audio.

This could be a display off issue. On Ventura, try the following: From the Apple Logo, choose System Settings. The Lock Screen is on the left side. Select the Lock Screen. Change the power and battery settings to Never. Reboot the system This may or may not fix the issue. Give it a try.

The current version is significantly better than the much older versions. It will detect and remove the interlace when going from 720x480 to 1920x1080 (it willl look for this automatically). You can also look at the originals using MediaInfo ( https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo ) and selecting Tree mode. This will tell you if the interlace is top field
