Hey Mervin, I don't notice them if I downcovert from HDV to SD even on the SD DVD. However, I'm sure I tested this the other day and it did show up on the computer monitor in the edit and when I exported it out as mpeg2 1080x1920 and put it onto a data dvd and my usb hard drive and played it back on the ps3 I'm sure the large white square pixel things

I have tried several DVD players with the several 4:3 tvs and the highlight lines to move along the menu just not present. I was able to sort of solve the problem but I have to use a Liquid set menu with the style of button I sort of like and then lower my 16:9 jpeg background under the dvd in the timeline. Is everyone using the preset menus in Liquid? Common.... surely someone out there imports their own background in or edits the menu wizards in Liquid. cathy

We have always had drop outs so I'm thinking it could be a camera problem. I phoned the tech guy yesterday but he says he has never had anyone with this problem but to show him a tape with it on and maybe they can help.. but not for 3 or so weeks unless I take it to another Sony dealer repairer... think I'll wait for the main company to look at it though

Hi Lews, Sorry the exact tape ID is: Sony DVM60PRO I don't know if they make these in the USA but it is the tape that all the professionals use here. It is the tape below the top of the range HDV sony tape . It is a Mini DV Tape that can record 60mins of HDV or DV. On long play it can do 90 (WE NEVER USE LONG PLAY... NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL BEFORE

Ever since filming with the sony z1 we have had lots of dropped frames/orange triangles. Sometimes.. very rarely I even get them when we are in a continuous record the footage will just stop for a split second. I did try and log the same clips in HDV and while on this occasion it did not show any orange markers when I backed up the project, deleted
