Windows does not even recognioze a camera when I plug it in. Of cousre the device manager says the 1394 connections are working fine.
Douglas, I had the same problem when switching to Windows 7. After some research, I identified the IEEE-1394 driver causing the problem. In Windows 7 I have manually

I had the same problem when I captured HDV 720P50 with JVC BR-HD50. It always happened at the beginning of a new clip, and sometimes disappeared at the next clip. It was solved by Avid with version 3.5.4.3 and it never came up again after having installed this patch. So I think, it will not be present any more with version 3.5.9. I am running 4.0.4 in
Whenever I play anything the audio plays but the Video stays on whatever frame its in in the timeline. I can move the video manually so all the video is there.
Unless someone can verify that dualview works in windows 7 (not RC) with a quadro fx card? If it is working, which driver?
Yes I can. I have installed PNY Quadro FX 1700, and I run nvidia driver version 191.07 (downloaded from nvidia homepage). My two monitors are configured in dual view, and all runs well

I had Media Composer version 3.5.4 and 4.0.2 runnuing under W7 Ultimate 64-bit Release Candidate for some weeks. Everything I used worked well. Initially, video display did not work correctly. However, this was automatically solved with Windows 7 update, which installed a later video driver. In between, I have a clean installation of W7-Ultimate 64

In 720P50 projects timecode runs ss:ff, where ss represents the seconds and ff the frame numbers. Frame numbers run from 00 - 49 in 720P50 projects. However the capture tool does not accept any timecode value above ff=24. If I enter e.g.01:10:34, it ends up with a timecode 01:11:09. This leads to big problems, if you want to re-capture material.
