  • Re: duplicate bins in interplay

    I use this approace all the time to clean up projects checked in using an incorrect project path. There's nothing more irritating than having a sports program check into the middle of your hunting program and again in the middle of a documentary. Make sure not to delete media, only meta data. That would be bad.

  • Re: Property store Size

    Hello - We don't have a huge system but one thing I monitor is file count on our shared storage. We have two interplay systems - one on ISIS and one on Unity. I try to keep each workspace on these systems below a 10k file count. If it exceedes this number, effeciency seems to decline. We have around 30 workspaces and if the number hits that ceiling

  • Re: Assist Send to Playback error for a consolidated sequence

    Check (or have your admin check) the Assist database settings in the Interplay Administration. it could be that the user account has a specific target and or working resolution set. Also check the airspeed config to see how they are set up regarding audio bit depth and target resolution. If you are able to send the exact same material from a MC then

  • Re: Clips with reservations go offline over time

    Another thing to look at/try is re-scan the workspaces once a month and resync the workspaces on a regular basis. It could be that the media is there and Interplay lost track of it.

  • Re: Clips with reservations go offline over time

    I run into a problem from time to time with media being deleted directly from the shared storage drives instead of going through Interplay. Sometimes the editors try to free up space themselves and use Windows Explorer to view the drives and make deletion decisions not realizing they are violating the reservation process. Other times, I as administrator

  • Re: media offline

    I know this was some time ago but just now read it and wanted to contribute. We are a post house using P2 and tape (mostly tape). When we connect either a drive with P2 media on it or the P2 reader, Windows assigns a drive letter to each P2 card; straight forward enough. However I found that the startup scripts on our systems have drive mappings that

  • Re: Interplay for Post - where do projects go?

    This is a great thread. A lot of good information. I wanted to throw in our workflow for what its worth. We have two Interplay systems; one on Unity and one on Isis. Our format is both DNxHD 145 and MPEG50. We keep all projects on shared storage and usually have two editors working on the same project at the same time. With bin locking, we've had a

  • Re: Workgroup Transfers - What will and won't transfer

    Yes. We have Interplay on both our ISIS and Media Net systems.

  • Workgroup Transfers - What will and won't transfer

    Is there some info on what will and won't transfer? We are using workgroup transfers to move media from our MediaNet to ISIS and vice versa. I recently sent some consolidated sequences upstairs for color correction. I noticed the transfer crawled (2 -3 MB/sec) and eventually failed. We researched and found that the media was at different frame rates;

  • Re: Search Interplay by Workspace ?

    I agree with Highnoon. The extended search function is the easiest way. I have been doing exactly what you are talking about for a few days now. In addition to the workspace, I add criteria lilke "Media Status - is - Online" to return only media and not just metadata or criteria "Media Status - in not - Offline" to return anything that may be green
