DS does not yet support direct ingest of P2 media. But it does ship with a license of Media Composer. Use the Media Composer to import and transcode the P2 Media for use in DS. You can put a 'Matte' node or a 'Graphics' node between the original matte and the second color corrector. In that node, do a garbage matte or rotoscope of the boat. But remember, you're going to be potentially inverting that matte in the second color corrector, so you might need to make sure the matte you draw is the opposite color

My understanding is that DS will only export the Sequence timecode for DPX files.

I tend to use transform node instead of the DVE in the stabilizer/tracker. Again, that is merely a personal preference. I just like to know that my stabilize is my stabilize, and that my additional repos are separate.

Does it stop the capture, or does the clip appear to be missing frames after capture?
