Larry, I was referring to sync POINT editing, not timeline sync. In your composer settings, go to the edit tab and ensure that the check boxes for sync point editing and single mark editing are disabled.

Have you: 1. Disconnected your storage to see if the error goes away without media online? 2. Uninstalled and Reinstalled the software? 3. Tried installing on 10.5.5 (the supported OS for 3.0.5)? 4. Upgraded to 3.1.3 (a free upgrade) to see if that solves the problem? 5. Called Tech support to get a case opened?

Yeah...you can use that to copy files back and forth but I've had a lot of complaints from customers trying to use it for Media Files and Avid Databases on Mac. Best to format the drive properly.

As soon as you move the Avid MediaFiles folder back to your newly formated drive, trash the two files inside the folder that begin with "msm" (if you sort by date, the pop right to the top). The avid will rebuild those database files and you are good to go.
