• Re: Source clips squeezed

Now that I see your issue i got the same results when I export from Resolve using 6K WS HELIUM files. Only occurs with AutoSync files though. Here is a post I made at Lift Gamma Gain .
But it also begs a question: how do you do the synching?
I am still in awe that there are no documentation on the Slip Perf audio tab section in the Source Settings window. I get a read a few posts on how great this 3/4 Perf Film workflow is but nothing out there with specific steps. My understanding is that
AutoSync will always cut the clip to the shortest of its elements. So if your sound is shorter, then the sync'ed clip will be shorter than the original camera file. But it also begs a question: how do you do the synching?
Yea this is quite dumb. If its not going to sync why bother creating a sub-clip at

  • Re: "Audio Slip" individual tracks in Master Clip??????

Is there documenation on how to use this option? Seems pretty useless from my go at it. For me the two tracks are moving indepent in waveform view but is not affecting the clip after pressin Apply/OK. The slip lenght is limited. I have a few files that are off to almost 10 seconds.

In addition to the above question, is there any documenation on how to use the Slip Perf (new option in Source Settings) in Avid? I was also trying the Slip Pef Film 24 workflow but cant seem to use the smart tools to move audio or video in larger time lenght. The Slip Perf tool moves a quarter frame at a time :(

Imported the audio (BWF) and even exported MXF from Resolve 12.5.3. Attached image shows both RAW (AMA) and imported MXF (Resolve) and the synced bin. The highlighted clips shows you the time
As for th Transcode times. What have you got the "linked Source Scaling/Quality" set to?
I just checked in Media Creation and applied sixteenth. The transcode still came out as 6K pixel res. The only good thing is that the new transcode worked with audio sync. It seems to not work as well on the

As far as the site crashes it must be me. I cant say its platform specific since I've experienced it on both Mac and PC. I know I just need to be more patient with this site. Apologies for the site rant.
Not happening here, you can try to put a check on the "Remember me" when you log into your Avid master account.
I reported this years ago and I guess its still an issue. I just have to remember to copy the text prior.

  • Re: Trancode Issues..REPOST!

It looks like FrameFlex first then transcode is the only way. This is why I like Resolve for Avid AAF export :P
