Did you ever find an answer for this? Just happened to me too....

Thanks... Do you have a favorite RAID solution for a single user?
-
I have a Pegasus R-6 32tb tbolt 3 RAID...works fine...need another 64tb raid system. Only one user on it from a 2019 imacpro. it's been awhile since I've bought a new RAID. The OWC Thunderbay looks interesting...any experiences? Good or bod or indifferent😁. Thanks and cheers

I have been exporting OP1a as my "master" then deliverables from there. Whatever my project setting e.g. 1080i, UHD 24p etc.. then thats the OP1a export setting I use, so it is basically 1:1. From there send thru Encoder and bobs your uncle...

Is there a specific deliverable you need for the client? I've been using MXF OP1a exports. From there I make whatever the client needs from media encoder (older version that still supports QT). Hope that helps

getting some 360 footage sometime soon...I know nothing. I'll probably be just cutting bits together but iv'e seen various mentions of mocha 360 (ive used mocha for tracking in the past...but not much). Watched a few youtubes on using the plugin in a 360 project....looking for some thoughts/experiences/warnings.... thanks all cheers Gregg

Curious if anyone has an opinion on using a 6 drive vs 8 drive raids from promise? Big speed difference....mostly hd projects using 4k (keeping sourse size for frameflex) Thanks

Hey Mark....sorry for the delay....so with an image sequence (I was thinking a video file) you will probably have to convert the image sequence to a video file....at least that is what I would do. I think quicktime (among others) can do this losslessly. Once it is a video file all said before will apply.....good luck Cheers

Ah didnt notice you said image sequence and not a super high rez video clip...yes yes make it video first either in a custom avid project or in the app that the image sequence is from (where is it from?)

Best bet is to AMA link to the image sequence, go to consolidate/transcode and pick transcode then set raster dimensions to "source dimensions". This brings the video into the project at it's higher resolution (I think you said 5 or 6k). When you "import" you set the resolution of the video to the projects dimensions, in this
