any errors or messages? if not suggest trashing your MC state and site settings from the settings folder inside the media composer folder

Clear your record monitor, then try to make a sequence of the redigitized masterclips. If that plays then reload your sequence into the record monitor and play the sequence track by track until you've identified the offending track next play in to out until you've isolated the offending clip or precompute and either re-render or replace HTH

In doing a ggogle search on your error 0xc000142 the error is Windows and not Avid. One suggestion is to create a new windows log on with administrative privileges and log on to your cpmputer using that profile. HTH

Purchase the quicktime pro option from Apple. Quicktime pro allows you to save as your media and convert from AVI to quicktime. The option is grayed out if you download the free version of quicktime. QT pro runs approx $30. hth

During capture you can select the K drive as your target drive. After capture you can consolidate your MXF mediafiles to the K drive. Media sitting outside of the MXF Media files folder and its two databases will not be read by Avid.

just a guess but you may need to reinstall quicktime

Glad to have helped. BTW you won't need a dongle to run the Media Creations tool as you are not launching composer. Check your total ram and then subtract what the OS is using. Give as much memory to the media creations tool as possible for maximum performance. Example: total memory 384 mb less OS 40 mb = 340 mb. Allocate 320 mb to the media creations
