I gave up renewing my support last year. I detest the subscription model as a customer but for the vendor its a money spinner. If you dont renew your perpetual licence it can never be upgraded and you are left behind with no way back. It is a real kick in the teeth for someone like me, a one man band who has supported Avid for decades but I cant justify

This can also happen if an effect is created in a different format. For example, if a dissolve is created in 1080i and then rendred in 1080p it is sometimes not rendered along with the effects above.

I used to use the Nitris boxes and due to downsizing and now all delivery is on file, I dont need it. I have been astonished that I was able to buy a BM card for just £130 that does everything I need with

I use the BM card. I would not expect it to display sub blacks or peaks over 100%. When exporting for broadcast I put a safe colour limiter effect on which clips anyway. The computer display does however show the sub blacks /peaks if you need to. When grading, I grade on my external monitor looking at the 0-100 limited output, after all this is what

And that is the whole thrust of the discussion. If you apply the lut as the first process in post (as you should do to match the curves) Avid locks it in and does not allow you to recover burnt highlights. You then end up throwing the lut away and eyeballing the correction through curves etc. This is very unsatisfactory as you have to crudely mimic
