I have a MC with a Mojo - not a fancy new Mojo, just the plain old vanilla kind. I've noticed that I can't monitor any projects on my old 4x3 monitor while doing any HD 16x9 projects - and from what I've read, it seems I need a different mojo to do this. Is this correct? Do I really need to spend $7,000 just to see my HD stuff on a monitor

I LOVE the add filler at start command - in fact I have it mapped to a button on top my timeline. This tutorial got me wondering if there is any way to map an "add filler anywhere" button. The method described here is good, but not nearly as easy as a single button. I don't suppose there is any way to do this? I would love to set a default

So back awhile ago, I noticed that in my MXF media folder, there was something strange. Not only was there a "1" folder, but AVID had created a "2" and "3" folders as well. This got me thinking - does AVID treat all these numbered folders the same? If so, I could create many numbered folders myself, and use these to put

I really appreciate all these ideas and tips. I'm currently re-copying the media into "1" from the removable drive, just to see what happens. Tomorrow, I'll try some of these other ideas, but at least now I have a few good suggestions on how to avoid these problems. I especially like the re-naming media drive idea before deleting

What I'm doing to rebuild the sequence, is to take my Media Folder that was created during the Consolidation process (a folder titled 1 on my external drive), and dragging everything from that "1" folder into my main "1" drive on my editing machine. I'm bringing all the media from the Consolidation into my AVID "1"

So, I've just ruined a project I've been working on for the past year due to the Consolidate feature. Perhaps someone here can tell me what I can do to prevent this in the future. I first went through the project, selected "media relatives", and reversed the selection to lose un-needed stuff. Then, I consolidated to an external drive

I've just consolidated a project. I put my sequence in a new bin first, then consolidated, and all is well. I then deleted everything that wasn't in my new bin - and all is fine. However, I noticed even though my new consolidated sequence plays fine and the media and graphics are all there, that there are no graphic icons in any bins. The graphics
And what will You do with such a machine when Your clients will ask for odorama editing...?
But AVID already has odorama editing. Trust me. I make videos that stink all the time.

Here is my major concern. If, hypothetically, AVID goes out of business, there will be no more software activation - period. You will simply not be able to install your AVID software ever again. Software activation puts you completely at the mercy of the AVID Corporation. If they go bust (or decide that your license is no longer valid for some reason
