Once you have completed color correction on the 60 minute version, load that into the source window, and load the 100 minute version into the record window. Enter color correction mode, and right click anywhere in the CC tools window. You will see an option called "Merge Correction", which will apply the CC parameters from the 60 to the relevant

It usually happens when the memory usage is creeping up. Just quit out of Symphony and re-launch, and it should go away.

Avid is very specific about the systems they qualify to work with Media Composer. Here is a list of compatible PCs. http://www.avid.com/resources/qualified/MediaComposer-NewsCutter-Qualified-PC-Workstations.pdf It would help if you posted exactly what your system specs are, then we could offer more advice. Even though it's not officially supported

If you did decompose the updated sequence, try relinking the individual clips, rather than the whole sequence. I have found this works better for me. Also, if there are a large number of clips, I usually

Since you say you don't want to write over line 21, I assume you're talking about an SD show. If that's the case, you can preserve the captioning by digitizing the section you want to insert over from your captioned master. Caption info from line 21 will be preserved on ingest. Then, place your new shot on video track 1, put the captioned
