Hey guys, The problem seems to be that we can't use the Native Resolution because the Geffen extender can't handle it. I guess the cable run is close to the maximum. Engineer's are looking for other solutions. Thanks for your input.

MC 3.5 DX + Dell 22" Widescreen Monitor

Hi all, I was wondering what the best/ proper settings are for the Dell 22" Widescreen monitor for use with the MC? Everything on the desktop and the application is stretched out and tech support here doesn't know how to fit it and still work properly with the Avid. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

From the help files... ...click either the Extract/Splice-in button or the Lift/Overwrite button, and then double-click the nested effect. The nested tracks appear in the Timeline above the track you double-clicked. Then you can monitor the the nest with your audio.

If you use Moving Pictures plug in- you can use tiff's with alpha channels.

After doing some research, it seems like the new version of MC (v3) can now mix frame rates in the timeline. It would be great to just work in a 1080i 59.94 Project and bring those 23.976 clips into it. Does anyone have any experience yet mixing 1080p 23.976 & 1080i 59.94 in the same timeline?

Add pulldown to XDCAM EX files?

Hi there, does anyone know of a software solution like Raylight for XDCAM eX files? We've been getting a bunch of EX files lately and all the shooters are shooting @ 23.976 for that "24p" look. But it reeks havoc on our broadcast workflow when it needs to be combined with SD 29.97 footage and 1080 @ 59.94. We've resorted to ingesting
