  • Re: Time Base Corrector - hardware or software?

Yep... A TBC is in order. You can also try to patch your VHS output into the input of a professional deck, then out of the professional deck into your Mojo's input. On numerous occasions, I did route thru a BetaSP PVW2800 and it did the trick. A real TBC would prform much better though. HTH Michel

  • Re: Adding timewarps / fit to / trim to fill on clips with alpha / matte effects

hello, All (Most) DJ animations are loopable... the last frame of your 5 sec will seamlessly start again when you add the same (loop) anim. again. Since most animations fall appart when you slo-motion them, I would suggest to just loop the animation as often as needed, and just cutout when no longer needed. HTH Michel

Hello Aquapix, Thanks for your replies. I did export "Same As" and the problem exported with it. QT is the correct version, have been using it for more than two months ! I did notice, however, that thru all the portable hard drive exchange I had recently, that my Internet Explorer now has the TAGE LIPA ARE virus. It is a harmless virus, but

Aquapix: Yes, the machine has the correct drivers... QT versions. The system has been working perfectly for the past two months. The first 2min 30 sec or so of each clips playback fine, untill 10:00:24.15, then the image "shifts". Note that the same media, every clip, works well on my other machine, an Xpress ProHD 5.5. Go figure Michel

  • Weird Image Horizontal Shift

I've been editing these shows for more than a week now. The SD D-Beta is digge'd at a post house (1:1 uncompressed NTSC) I bring the hard drives to my office to edit onto my MC 3.1.2. I've done 8 X 1 hour shows so far without any problems. I got a new batch today... the bars/tone are fine, but as soon as I get to 10:00:24.15 on all 8 different

  • Re: Randomly freezes on playout!

Long time ago (2 yrs) I had the same problem. Turned out to be a bad sync (black burst) generator. Try disconnecting any and all video reference to your MC, and set your record deck to an "incoming video reference", instead of an external ref. HTH. Michel

  • Re: G-Tech es drives and external storage

Hello Tony, Thanks for the reply. So if G-Tech is difficult to install, then is there another better and easy-to-install manufacturer that the Avid editing community is using... anyone ? Is anyone using the LaCie Big Quadra system for uncompressed SD, or HD/HDV ? Thanks Michel

  • G-Tech es drives and external storage

Hello all, I am currently using some old, steam-powered, LVD 160 SCSI hard drives. They work very well, but I need more storage (10 hours at 1:1 SD) for an upcoming project and it’s time to purchase new drives. I am considering to purchase a new G-Tech G-Speed es-R (2Tb) external enclosure and PCIe Raid controller card G-Tech part # 921002-02

  • Re: Pan and Zoom and memory issue

I am having the same "out of memory" issue that you all have, but I have a workaround that is foolproof (on my Dell 670); Turn off your Mojos using the "DNA / 1394" button just above the timeline when you are manipulating the P&Z. Here's my workflow; I import all the pictures (JPEGs, BMP, TIFF... etc) into a bin. Edit into

  • Re: Importing from video storage

Bert, You said "got a message that clip cannot be imported into a bin" Did it say why ? Is the frame rate consistent ? ie; is the clip at 23.974 frames and your project at 29.97 ? Try using the "Media Tool" to find and load your clip(s). Click the "Tool" menu, "media Tool" is near the bottom. When the dialogue
