I'll second that. The Yellow is impossible to work with: you can't see clip colors, it's hard on the eyes, and i will never be transcoding some of this media, because i don't wan't to eat the disk space and then have to worry about managing the media after i'm done.Why not just have a column that tells me what i "need"

When i'm outputting something where i care about fidelity/playback integrity etc...especially to dvd..i use the digital cut tool...which also lets you add black at the end of the sequence...without having to alter your sequence / add an event to it's edl. More an issue with film cuts, where adding an effect shows up as an optical.not a big deal

You could switch to Vista and then install 16 or 32 gigs of Ram.....sorta kidding with that actually.. Doing mixdowns of your most effects + graphics heavy sections and nesting the original tracks underneath might help.As always, trashing/rebuilding your databases helps too.
