This would be great. I find it tedious and sometimes difficult to color correct for long periods of time with a Wacom pen tablet or mouse.

Yes, these are all great suggestions. I hope Avid is listening.

Thanks for the valuable information. I checked and the drives were out of warranty in April '09. I figured that with my drives out of warranty and the Avid VideoRaid EOL'ed that I would be on my own to find parts. Interestingly, I pulled out the the drive to get model and part numbers from the drive and when I reinserted the drive back into

I just had a red light go on a drive on a 10 bay 320x Avid Videoraid. The Videoraid has 10 - 250 gig drives installed. Can I buy a regular hard drive to replace or do I need a Avid branded drive?
Everyone here wants Avid to do well. And I'm sure Symphony users who can afford $500 for an upgrade can afford $1,000, but it's the fact that Symphony is not being improved specifically to gain ground in the finishing world that is a sore spot.
I agree.
For the initial price they pay for Symphony (what is the price now for a new Symphony anyway?) they still have to pay MORE for an upgrade w/ no new Symphony only features? This upgrade cost them as much as the entire Final Cut Studio suite.
Yes I agree, I'm going to pass on this update. I can't

I haven't seen mix and match in action yet so I don't know what the limitations are. I guess the question is, what can Universal Mastering do that mix and match can't?
-
Well maybe universal mastering is being kind of available for MC too now with mix and match feature, but still Symphony has better colour correction.
Does the new mix and match feature replace Universal Mastering? If so, the Symphony is in desperate need of new features. All that's left now is color correction

Thanks Marianna, My support contract expired. Does the $995 include the manuals and 3rd party software? Can I upgrade through Avid or do I need to go through a reseller?
