Trying to track a PIP on a laptopn screen in 2018.14. i set my shape parameter and it's all normal until I turn on corner tracking. Then my foreground layer disaappears. even after I've completed my tracking. All I see is the white selection outline. I've tried selecting effect results, redoing the effect from scratch, nothing works. It

It doesn't even need to be a full messaging feature. I'd be happy with a popup that says "Avid user 543234 has requested that you please close the bin named <bin name>.

Since the Avid can already ID for me who has bins from my project open, it'd be nice to have a feature to send that user a "close bin" request in the form of a pop-up message. I spend way too much time running around post houses, asking other editors and story producers to please close my bins.

Agreed. And even worse, there is no Undo! Renaming a clip should be part of the Undo chain.

In the effect editor, the home key goes to the beginning of the effect clip. But in motion editor, the home key goes to the beginning of the timeline. This means I (a) have no way to quickly jump to the top of my motion effect when I want to play it back, and (b) I am constantly hitting home by mistake and losing my place in my timeline. Thanks all. My #1 concern was, could it open the sequence at all? Since it sounds like it will, I would then be able to work with tej sequence on the older system and fix any quirks that might arise.

I need to edit something at home on my 2018.12 system, but then bring it to a shop that is still running 6.5. Will the older system open my timeline from the newer version?

The DVD drive appears as a media drive in the console, but does not appear on the Media Creation panel. AMA is already off. Autoplay/Autorun is off. The DVD drive is never actually accessed (no drive light) during any of this. I've also discovered that if I start Avid with the DVD drive empty, it does NOT show up as a media drive in the console

Yep. I tried deleting the Blackmagic driver, the firewall, the antivirus, anything I could think of that might be blocking the Avid from accesing something or cause it to be looking for something. Did a system restore, uninstalled and reinstalled Avid, upgraded and downgraded it. Nothing worked until I popped out that disc. It was both euphoric to fix
