Hi everyone, for a short docu about a band I've reiceived 5 streams of PTZ cams from a concert hall, all of them 1h and 20m in length. They are mp4 files, 1080 p50. The rest of the material is shot in 1080 p25 from a Canon XF 105, (mxf). My project is set to 1080 p25 and I work on MC 8.4. I would like to transcode the PTZ cam material to offline

thanks for your comments! I think I start to understand. Next time he comes over, I make a new folder in the root of his external disk. I move his whole folder stucture with the different episode-folders with media to this new folder. With the subst command, (or the tool), I change the new folder into a virtual drive with the same drive letter that

Every time that a colleague comes over to work on a project on my pc we get media ofline. He has both the project and the media on the same external disk that he uses with his own pc as well. In my pc the drive letter changes, would that be the cause? Is there a proper workflow to switch between pc's with an external disk?

mmm... if I alt click in one of the monitors nothing happens. (Is also ment to drag subclips to a bin) If I alt click on the source/record editing workspace in the windows tab nothing happens. Ok, I think I understand. It means that if I AMA link in seperate projects according to the framerate/format i KEEP this link when I open these bins in my 1080p25 project? That simple?

Do you mean that after transcoding our final sequence, (so we can export as QTref), we cannot for example make a last change to a transcoded clip with different frame rate? Like trimming beyond the handles for example. And why would that work if these clips were AMA
