  • Re: No mask margin when exporting a graphic

I've tried it with Enable Mask Margins on and off as stated in my first post, but does not work when you set the export settings for graphics, seems to only work with video. A coworker tried on MC 2018.12, seems to work there but ONLY if an aspect ratio was applied to the clip via FrameFlex. In any case, we're exporting the stills we need from

  • No mask margin when exporting a graphic

Hi All, I was exporting single frames from a documentary project I'm working on and I noticed that my 2.35 mask was not being exported with the graphic. I experimented with the graphic export settings (taking enable mask on and off in the export setting, applying and removing flame flex) and the graphic export setting is not applying my mask margin

  • Re: ProRes 444 XQ codec not supported in MC?

We haven't decided on a facility for color grading yet, so not sure if they will be using Resolve. My original plan was to consolidate the conformed sequence to another drive and creating an AAF from there, only using the clips that are in the sequence. Since the XQ codec won't allow me to do that, I guess I'll just have to manually copy

  • ProRes 444 XQ codec not supported in MC?

Hi All, I'm helping out with a short film, which was filmed in ProRes 444 XQ. I'm starting to prep to relink back to the camera files for the color grade and doing some tests but it looks like my only choice is to transcode to ProRes 4444? Does Media Composer support this new XQ codec? I'd like to stay with the same codec if possible. Would

  • Re: Exporting 5.1 surround in MC 8.4

Hi Job, Looks like the 2nd half of option 1 worked! When I originally AMA linked one of the 5.1 stems, it gave me a clip with 6 audio channels (A1-A6). So I did the clip--> modify--> set multichannel audio and turned it into a 5.1 clip. I cut it into my sequence, and did small test export, and when I AMA linked that clip back, I can see the distinct

  • Exporting 5.1 surround in MC 8.4

Hi all, I'm having some trouble exporting a quicktime movie with 5.1 surround. Basically I have the footage and 5.1 audio stems AMA linked, and synced them into a sequence. I have the sequence set to 5.1 in the Audio Mixer, however I can't change the right buttom from stereo to 5.1 (its greyed out, I'm assuming this is because I don't

  • Script Sync license

Hi, So I'm looking to purchase a ScriptSync license, which it appears to be no longer available to purchase through Avid. From what I've been reading it will no longer work with MC 8. If I downgrade to an older version and purchase the license through a third party seller, will the license work? I want to verify that this is still a viable option
