  • Transcoded files not showing up

Hi all, I recently transcoded a batch of AMA-linked footage with the "run in background" option. According to the background services, it worked fine. The Avid MediaFiles folder is on the designated drive is showing all the MXF files as present, but in the project the files were showing up as "Media Offline". It's the first time

  • Re: Creating a file for making a DCP.

Bump. If anyone can tell me how to export a ProRes with 5.1 sound for the first 6 tracks and then two extra mono tracks that would be great. Exporting it as a 5.1/7.1 format with 5.1/7.1 channels doesn't seem to be doing the trick. DCP-o-matic appears to be detecting 8 tracks when importing the file and I am setting it to channel 8 for the DCP but

  • Creating a file for making a DCP.

Hi all, Does anyone here have any experience with making DCPs or prepping master files for DCPs? If so I could really use your help. I need to make a DCP with 5.1 Sound and a Visually Impaired track on track 8. My guess was that I should just add two mono tracks to my sequence which contains a 5.1 track, add the AD to A3 (which would be "track

  • Re: Correct way to import separate 5.1 channels.

Hi Job ter Burg, I've tried both importing with the "Autodetect Multichannel BWF" and Source Browser and they still come in as 6 separate files. I even tried putting an "_1", "_2" etc.. at the end of each one and still the same result. Is that a problem with the files? I'm attempting to try the second option, seems

  • Correct way to import separate 5.1 channels.

Hi all, I'd like to export a Quicktime with 5.1 Surround, however instead of being given a single track with a 5.1 mix I've been given the 6 separate channels (L,R,C,LFE,LS,RS). I was thinking that creating a timeline with 6 monotracks would be the right way to do it but apparently there can be an issue with the pan on the LFE track when doing

  • Re: Issues with transcoding.

Hi Bruno, Thanks for the response. So for issue one it appears that I was dealing with some corrupted files. The traditional import method worked so I've just marked which clips have the issue, thankfully there's not as many as I had thought so it shouldn't be too much of a hindrance. As for issue 2. All I had to do was select the "Enable

  • Issues with transcoding.

Hi all, I'm currently setting up a project and I've been having a couple of issues with transcoding some of the footage. I've been AMA-linking then transcoding into DNxHD36. 1. I'm getting an error message saying; "SWDC_CodecInterface_Task::Execute() CONSISTENCY CHECK FAILURE !?! : [<idNum>]" Now the majority of the footage

So it was the file that was the issue. I rechecked it and there was a 'blink and you miss it' glitch very early on where some distorted pixels appear for literally a frame. I've requested a new ProRes so hopefully that will fix it. Apologies for wasting people's time. Your advice was very much appreciated though as I now know steps I

I think it's the file. I've gone through this process with numerous other ProRes' and there hasn't been this issue. I will try updating my Avid just to make sure though as the ProRes was sourced externally and I would have to request a new one.
