    First - thank you so much for all this information - I really apreciate it! I have been looking at all this on both my computer monitor a CRT tv monitor. I don't have - I don't think - a dedicated IO. I am an offline Editor in a old suite - everything is cabled into my suite from another room. I will try this method on Monday. thanks again,

    Hi there, I am working on a show that has 23.98/1080p sequences that need to be played in a 1080i/59.94 @29.97 fps. Drop frame sequence. This is a broadcasted show that is shot almost entirely in 30 FPS with some scenes in 24 to look more filmic. We deliver in 59.94i for broadcast. The issue I am having is when I receive the colour correct 24 fps scenes

  • Avid Media Composer 8 30 Trial on MacBook Pro & Lynda.com

    Hello! Where do I put Lynda.com exercise files and media so that the Avid trial will recognize on my MacBook Pro? The tutorial from Lynda makes it very clear to put these zip files on my media drive to avoid having media offline - however, I do not have a media drive on my laptop & when I attach a lacie rugged - I get an error of "invalid file

  • invalid file name & crash

    Hi! The download of the trial version of MC runs up fine on my Mac Book Pro - but when I attach a media drive with my Lynda.com tutorials - it crashes with an invaild file name. Launches fine when the drive is not connected - but not when the drive is connected. Clearly has an issue with the drive. Also, some warning about not having write permissions

    Hi! New to forums and the AVID community. I am not tech savvy by any stretch - but looking to get educated!!
