    Randall. We just went to Vista 64 and 8gb ram with our Classic SN 3.05 on an xw8400. A 288mb sequence uses 54% memory with no chokes. It's a wonderful thang. Take the jump, you'll be delighted you did.

As our networks see more and more effects that we're putting into shows, they are expecting those and new ones also.     Yes, Marinna, it would be good to hear what engineering has to say. I'm at the point of total frustration now. I've had to break a show I'm working on now into 5 minute segments, about 25-40mg each to get the show finished. Even with that, I'm having to restart the system at least 10-15 times a day.     This won't work for us. Our projects are on Unity so the Attic is also on Unity so the offline guys have the same attic files that I have. I know a lot of people say don't have projects on Unity but when several people are working on a show at a time it would be a nightmare if everyone had their project on a local drive.

    From what our tech guys say that's just a quirk of XP, it's utilizing it, just not displaying it.

    Haven't completely run Memtest86 yet but it seems like our memory is good, and we're guessing it's a software limitation. Have you run into any limitations on sizes of bins you can work with?

    On Properties of My Computer it does say I have 2.25 GB of RAM and in the Performance Tab in task manager it says I have 2358548. I just pulled out the computer and verified that there are 4 1GB RAM sticks in it.

    Does anyone have much success loading large sequences. I'm on v3 Symphony with 4 gigs of ram and the Avid patch to allocate 2.5 to the Symphony. Our offline guys have a sequence they've built that is 178 megs which I can't even come close to opening. They have broken it into acts and act 1 is 90 gigs. I start the SN and when I open the new
