• Re: 9 time 50 clicks to install the plugins

I feel the comment is valid here for this forum a this applies to the Avid Application Manager install/update process which is identical for Media Composer and Protools. The plug-ins installed through the Application Manager can be installed for both products. I too have often thought it unnecessary that I have to click update and then click install

  • Re: Avid ISIS 5500 Error message

We are seeing these issues happening very very frequently as well. I contacted support and they responded that it says warning and not error so don't worry about it. I hate that kind of response. We've had these systems for several years and these messages only started recently. There must be something causing them. We are experiencing weird

  • Re: LUTs Doubled up on Group Clips

We're also seeing the doubled LUTs on group clips after a re-link. We are running 8.8.5 but we have seen this problem in earlier versions of Avid as well. It's like the Source Clip has a LUT applied and the group clip has another LUT applied. Which is interesting becuase there is no way that I have seen to put a LUT on or remove a LUT from a

The Application Manager 17.7 is still in the works and has yet to be released, though the release date is not definite yet. Regards
Heads up! The MC 8.9 installer downgrades your Application Manager to 17.5.1 This is a little annoying since 17.7 has some fixes for CPU high useage.
I just submitted a support ticket for high cpu usage of Application Manager v17.5.1 and the response I got from support wasn't "we are aware and have

  • Avid Application Manager 17.5.1 CPU Usage

Last weekend we upgraded our facility to Media Composer 8.8.3 and upgraded the Avid Application Manager to the latest 17.5.1 version. Now we are encountering issues on our systems where Application Manager will either run at a constant 25% CPU usage or will flip from 0% CPU to 60% CPU repeatedly. The net effect of this is that our Avids have become
The ReadMe is your friend. Marianna
Read the readme. No mention what so ever regarding GPU rendering bug in the 8.8.3 readme. I therefore conclude that it is not conclusivly fixed. The 8.8.2 readme says "mostly" fixed. You know, like how the aliens only come out at night, mostly.
