Re: Media Composer 4.0 announced

Wow! Great news about AMC v4.0! I'm glad it still has dongle support as I like to bounce from desktop to laptop. Too bad about the original Mojo being dropped (not that I use it much anymore). A few questions . . . 1. I just bought my v3.5 upgrade today! What will the cost to upgrade to v4.0 be? 2. Will 4.0 finally support P2's DVCProHD 1080

I've been thinking and rethinking my situation. I might forgo a new latop (for now). And I'm wondering if I should just get a new mobo with a newer Quadro FX card. Again, I'd like to get something really beefy . Anybody have any mobo/CPU/Quadro combos to recommend?

Upgrading and streamlining

I've been debating my hardware situation a lot lately. I'm thinking I want to streamline my life a little bit by unloading my two current workstations (one tower and one laptop) and buying one new workstation (laptop). Thanks, Randall. No, not Unity. Just a Shared Project (as in the selection when you create a new project upon program launch). I'm on my laptop workstation right now. You can see the system specs in my profile on here.

Well, no, I don't have to delete it right now. I'd just like to. But I'd especially like to know how to do this in the future in case I need to free up emergency space. I am in a shared environment. I unchecked "Read Only" for that file in Windows folder and still no luck.

"File is locked" How do I delete?

Trying to delete an MXF file (master clip and all associated media files) in one of my bins. It gives me this error: "File 0019IJ00.MXF is locked." How do I "unlock" and delete these kinds of files? I'm in a mad rush to edit something so I don't have a lot of time to research this. Hoping for a quick answer here. Thanks!
