  • Re: What's the difference of media processor vs op1a export

I could have been more clear with my last question. The clips on my timeline are HQX but I usually render to uhd lb for snappier and lighter editing. So if I export to hqx with media processor, it it using those lb renders, or is it re-processing to hqx. Thank you

I have to say this network based processing is exciting to me for transcoding. I hope its affordable and doesnt need nexis or other expensive avid stuff. I could see myself having an high core count itx build dedicated to transcoding. Hopefully It can work simply using a 10gb nic, crossover cable, and without the need of a monitor, switch etc. I am

DOM Q: Every music video I edit is shot in highspeed alexa. Pros: Good for slow motion parts of artist. Cons: Every clip needs to be timewarped 200% to sync - Timewarped clips cant be multicam'd So I timewarp each clip on timeline, add burn in, mixdown, then create multigroup. When I lock picture, I replace all the mixdowns w/ burn in by manually

" I don't care that much what they work on in what order" Literally every desicion we make in life is about priortizing things. When we decide to go to the grocery store, working a few more hours or continuing the next day, running errands or working, etc. But you don't care in the order. Got it. As someone who using Media Composer

I imagine a time when more hyperthreading will be used in Media Composer. Where timewarped clips can be in a multicam group. When we can export web videos from media composer with gpu acceleration (nvenc) When upresing/relinking improves drastically. When editing navtive codec videos is improved. When anchoring of timewarps on non native fps clips is

  • avid, sometimes I hate you. space calculation is horrible.

I've said this many times. Please stop free space calculations. Let the user disable it with a checkbox or console command. The space calculation is 100% off. I have more than enough room for the small amount of clips I want to transcode (43tb free) for this. I also tried bg transcode. Worst case scenario is filling up my drive, is it reallly worth

AMA avid pan and zoom, and all of that stuff relinks on windows aslong as everything is on the same drive letter and same path. How can I do it, so everything relinks on a mac with the same "drive letter"? Thank You

  • Any solution for nesting audio?

Is there any way to "nest" my audio tracks? I needed to use multitrack audio for this concert doc. But usually I don't need to see this many audio channels in my mixer. thank you in advance.
