I am having the same problem.. and more. when I go to change video display settings, it turns out I am already at maximum no. of video streams (8). also, this is happening when I am trying to relink media after a hard drive failure: each time I successfully relink, I get this error and/or the whole programme frezes ('spinning beachball of death'

blank white pop up freezes playing sequence, avid crash. intermittent but common

when i try to play the sequence an empty white rectangular pop up window appears. the sequence stops playing and avid crashes. doesn't happen every time or everywhere on the sequence. a couple of times, a few clips became an unusual bright red colour, I deleted them in the hope it would help. but the problem remains. intermittent, but more often
