  • Re: EDL problem going from 23.976 to 30 frame project

so far it's working out ok. Because the clip names get renamed with the tape name and you're limited to 8 characters I had to make sure all the tape names were 8 or less. I made a QuickTime of the 24 frame sequence and then imported that into the 30 frame sequence. It's frame accurate so I can slip and slide the converted sequence to match

I'm coming into this project as the online editor. The offline editor forced DVD sources as well as HDV and some DVCAM into the 23.976 project. THey thought they had to edit in 24 frame for a certain festival submission. yes it's a mess. I'm going to online it at 1080i/60. I think I've solved it, but take a look. I export an EDL from

  • Re: Convert 23.976 Seq to 30i

Thanks for the responses! But not quite what I'm looking for. From what I've been reading I need to create a matchback EDL (film to video) But I can't find anything in any of the manuals that tells you how to do this. it must be so simple that Avid just assumed everyone knows how to do it already. I tried the zerocut method but ended up

I'm doing the exact same thing with no luck. 23.976 project, want to convert to 30i (1080i 59.94) for re-capture. The footage is all 30 frame source that they forced into a 23.98 project thinking it would look better. Now I'm doing the online and need to get it into a 30 frame project so it'll look right. I've tried several "methods"

  • Convert 23.976 Seq to 30i

I've did this a while back and can't remember how and I can't find the post anymore. And where are my dang glasses? :) I have a 23.976 sequence and I need to convert it to a 30i sequence. Thanks! FutureX

  • Re: SD played in HD timeline

Well on the Symphony in an HD timeline there's only green and green (10). As for hardware we have a Panasonic multiformat HD/SD 21" CRT (SDI only) and also a 50" plasma panel. This field thing is more accentuated on the plasma panel and that's where I started noticing it first. It barely shows on the HD CRT as that monitor is so sharp

  • SD played in HD timeline

I'm digitizing SD material to be played in an HD timeline. I digitize the footage at 1:1 in SD. When played back in the SD timeline it looks great, no problems. But when I switch to HD the SD footage looks like it's missing a field when it's playing. You know when you're paused and you only see one field and you get that stair-step look

I've been doing this but when I switch to HD the SD footage looks like it's missing a field when it's playing. You know when you're paused and you only see one field and you get that stair-step look on the edges, when when I then play the SD footage it looks the exact same as when it's paused. Seems like it's only playing one

  • Re: Color Streaking when Upconverting

I was working with support on a seperate issue and ended up replacing both the base board and codec board. I haven't had a chance to test it all until now and of course our support contract ran out last week so now I have no way to really troubleshoot this. The board replacemetn did seem to fix our original problems but now there's this. What
