  • Re: Audio tracks mislabelled?

Yes, spot on thanks Job. No idea how those tracks got hidden. Hope this is helpful to others! Thanks again. J

  • Audio tracks mislabelled?

Hi, I tried adding a third audio track as normal by pressing Ctrl-U. It inserted 'A9'! Subsequent tracks are inserted sequentially - A10, A11 etc. If I try Ctrl/Alt - Y and manually tell it to insert audio track 3, I get 'this track already exists'! Where are tracks 3-8?? J

  • Re: 4K to 1080 export aspect ratio issue

Thanks Pat, Will have to look into that. Presumably I could open a new, UHD project, drag the footage over then attempt what you've described?

  • Re: Dissolve Issues

OK fixed it - you have to position the graphic on the highest track ie parallel with the top effect. Hope this is of use.

  • Dissolve Issues

Am tearing my hair out over a seemingly simple issue: There's a shot that's been treated in various ways - desaturated, grain added, aspect ratio slightly changed, etc. I want to dissolve from this final shot into a simple end slate. However as the dissolve occurs the effects fail to keep up. You can see the footage reverting to colour, losing

  • Re: 4K to 1080 export aspect ratio issue

Haha, looks like we both had our calculators out. I actually prefer the 4K aspect ratio - bit more 'film-like' - so went with the Y-axis option. Luckily I had a graphic already sized to 4096x2160, which when imported via Pan & Zoom maintained its aspect ratio. So it was simply a question of trying to visually match the aspect ratio to the

  • Re: 4K to 1080 export aspect ratio issue

Hi there, Yes I totally understand, but the material was initially shot in full 4K which is 4096x2160. So even if I reimported in UHD the same issue would apply - the frame is too short on the X axis. Sounds like I'll have to 'push' the HD material back into shape using 'Resize/Scaling' then apply a small mask. If so, does anyone

  • 4K to 1080 export aspect ratio issue

Hi, OK I totally get there's no 4K export. And if there is and I missed something, it's irrelevant because I'll be posting to Vimeo. So I need to export in 1080. I've done the 4K edit and am ready to export. Go to 'Format' and switch down to 1080. All good, except now the scrren has 'stretched' southwards. The faces look

  • Re: Matte Newbie Heebeegeebees

Hi, Thanks, I just had a play with the Luma Key and it seems to work better. What's the difference in principle? It still steals brightness from the original image but I guess that's just the deal. I added another track and boosted the Brightness/Gamma back up without too much loss of detail. Thanks, J

  • Matte Key Newbie

Hi, So I just made a b/w film. A friend lent me a 'dust effect' .mov which seems to consist of white particles blowing past a black background. Very pretty. I put it on V2, applied a Matte Key and called-up the Effects Pallette. However after applying Swap Sources. Show Alpha and fiddling with Level, it seems there's a trade-off between
