  • Re: Applaying an effect to an imported Photoshop graphic

Hi, Depending on what you're trying to do with the wipe, you might just be able to use the crop parameter in the matte key effect to wipe the title on or off. If that doesn't get it, take a look at "nesting effects" in your manual or online help, as that will explain how to apply multiple effects to one clip in much more detail than I could. good luck...

  • Re: "Creative" Question: Best way to superimpose animated ghost from stills sequence

Bad news is you can only use one effect at a time in free dv.... (You could add other effects- eg colour- to the animated ghost track first, export that track and re-import it. But this might not help a lot- esp as the colour effect can't be key-framed ( at least in free dv v1.3). If you want effects on the ghost, you're probably best to plan them and...

  • Re: need opening for sports highlight package

Hi Ash, The backgrounds and transitions you get from Digital Juice would be difficult to make from scratch if Xpress Pro was your only tool, as it's primarily an editing application. If you're not looking to spend any money, I'd suggest Googling for free animated video backgrounds . The other thing you might do is watch some sports programming to see...

  • Re: HELP Making Binocular Effect (Overlay)

OK, there are a few ways that you can do this. The simplest is to use a circle wipe over the video. Set up two video layers containing the same material, and drop a circle wipe effect onto each. In the Effects tool, offset one circle slightly left and the other slightly right and adjust the softness of both for the most pleasing result. Alternatively...

  • Title problem

Hi, I am experiencing a strange problem. Having created a layover title in the bottom third with alpha I save the title graphic as a psd and import into avid. Then I stick it on a new layer above the speaker footage on (V2). I use a circular shape wipe with a softened edge to mask it in for the transition in and then the same sort of thing to transition...

  • Is there an equivalent to the FCP plugin Supawipe available in MC?

Basically, as the header states, is there an equivalent to the FCP plugin Supawipe available in MC? For those who are not familiar with it, the plugin allows you to quickly create graphic wipe transition effects. Thanks in advance for any pointers/help.
