I'm going to bring this thread back because to life I'm seeing the same problem. Up through version 3.5.4 you COULD export QT refs from AMA linked clips without a problem. Now with 4.0.xxx this is a problem. Why? My laptop (running XP) still has 3.5.1 loaded on it and I am currently exporting QT refs from AMA bins. I just did it! But on a desktop

I'm able to drag and drop an .ipr file into a bin or use File > Import. I tried to make this not work and I can't. My only conjecture is that something is happening to it on the network. Can you try sneaker-neting the file and see how it acts. Again, its not the Media Composer technically doing the import. QuickTime is used for any file not
