This clip: Various scenes from a 14 minute dramatic short. Shot 720p 29.976 with that cool Panny 900 varicam. Offline edited in 30i. Onlined to 720p. Thanks to Avid's Jeff Ayer for helping create the workflow. It was flawless!

COMMENTS

Artistically a wonderful film. Great cinematography and story content. Cool technically too - I worked in a different city than the producer. We communicated 98% of the time through QuickTime files sent over the internet and email for script updates and content changes. He also acted as my assistant editor, syncing and prepping video; assembling notes on dailies; and even assigning locators to specific sound bytes. The whole process further shows that networking in major cities is exceedingly important, yet the actual work can be done anywhere. The next project will see the use of SyncVue on a Skype line. Too cool.
