At the moment the footage has come in with a watermark and no doubt in a few weeks he will be wanting to purchase the footage and replace the watermarker lower res footage with the new. At the moment I have AMA'd... (read more)

  • Music Video, RED footage - Workflow?

So here's the deal. I have Red footage, most of it shot in 4K (1,9.1), but some in 3K. I don't think we'll need the final video in 4K, it will probably end up in 2K. I have about 1,3GB of Red-footage. I have AMA-linked all the footage into Avid, and my computer is working big time now transcoding... (read more)

Thanks for the advice. A few questions about the process. I have all my clips organized an labelled in various bins. They all read as offline ever since I deleted the media files. To bring those offline clips online, do I relink the re-transcoded clips? Will this also work for the sequences already in... (read more)

  • editing in DNxHD 36, color correct before I re-link to source?

I am editing H.264 footage and have read it's better to transcode to DNxHD 36 before editing. For a different project, I'm editing some footage shot in 4k that i'd want to edit at a lower res such as DNxHD 36. After cutting and adding effects, is it better to color correct beofe I re-link... Hi! I linked to AMA (files *.mod) and than Transcode them into Avid media files, but the AMA linked files and the Avid media files deleted the end of all the clips - the AMA and Avid media files end few secondes before they actually need to end. Why is this happening and what should I do? THANK YOU Eyal (read more)
