Converting 24p to 29.97

Hey there... I have captured and edited 24p HD footage in a 23.97 project. I need to make a 29.97 SD output onto a DVcam tape for NTSC broadcast. I have a mojo as well. Anyone know how exactly I do this? Thanks! (read more)

Well, there are probably two choices. You could import them as HDV native files, then select all the clips in the bin and transode them to DNxHD. That's probably the best way. The other way would be to use something like TMPGEnc XPress to convert the files to DNxHD clips first, then 'fast import'... (read more)

Actually, I disagree with some of the advice given here. If it was shot 24p, I recommend cutting it 24p. Especially if there is the slightest chance in hell that it'll get shot out to film at some point. Also, if you do any visual effects work, or motion effects, it's far better to do so on the... 24p HDV Support

Anyone know if Avid plans to release a version of MC which supports 24p HDV? And if so, I wouldn't have to do any pulldown beforehand, correct? (read more)
