This could take some hours depending on the PC and clips length. However you will see that afterwards the clips will not have to be encoded again as Authoring Work will just add them as they are. They are compliant mpeg DVD files. Only the menu will be encoded. And this is a fine way also to backup for...

11. Or Click The Send To Batch Tool. By doing so the clip will be registered to the Batch Tool. From then and on start again the same process for the other clips remaining and register them to the Batch Tool. When you done leave the Batch Tool Encoding them and set to to shut down.

9. Set Motion to Highest (with Error Correction) and the DC Precision to 10bit. Then Click the Encode Tab at the Top Bar of the program.

8. Leave everything as it is. The program gives the best option there but if you like you can change it to your like.

7. Choose the DVD standard MPEG file. Use all the described options except of course from PAL/NTSC. I use Dolby Digital because it helps keeping some files of 2 hours smaller. The output is lower but the quality is good.

6. Choose Deinterlace Always. Stripes Gone! By bottom field and then I choose the Inverse Telecine and Reinforce Anti Stripes. But any other method will work. Hit OK and then Choose the Format Tab from the Top Bar of the Program.

5. Go to Filters Tab and Select the Deinterlace Filter. There are those nasty lines there that it won't be seen at TV (normally) but for better add a deinterlace filter.

4. Change the Display Mode to Progressive. (After you import the file and TMPGEnc will analyze it, you will go to Clip Properties.) I am changing the Display Mode also from 1:1 Square Pixels to 16:9 but this has no real effect as the 1:1 Square Pixel is 16:9 anyway.

3. Add A File. This must be done for each clip (chapter) you have exported from within MC.
