    Mixing 4/3 SD with HD

Hello.  I have mostly 4:3 SD clips from a DV camera (my legacy footage) that I want to edit together with some 720p HD footage.

My question is should I setup my Avid project as SD 29.97 or HD 720 29.97?  And why?

If you want your final output to be in HD, create a project with 720 29.97 as the format, bring your SD footage into that project and add a re-format effect to that footage as desired. Do you have any additional I/O hardware, like Mojo DX?

Hi Larry.  My output will be mostly to the web and some DVDs will be made.  I work for a company so this will be internal use only.  I do not have a Mojo DX.  -Brian
