Is there a standard field dominance for 1080i 29.97 footage? I am editing on a Adrenaline HD and on a Symphonty Nitris. In the past I have edited and exported NTSC material using lower field. Is this correct or should I be using upper field, specifically for QT export to a graphic workstation.
thanks,

I listed all the HD acquisition formats and modes - there were more than 70 by my count.

At least all HD is upperfield, and the full raster sizes are fairly straight forward.
In PAL we have two neat DV issues - one is that all DV is Lower-field, where PAL 601 is Upper-field. The other is that all PAL DV is 4:2:0 except DVCPRO which is 4:1:1... So much pain. At least we only have one SD framesize.
