There is an effect called the "cube spin / turn " and I can't seem to locate it in AVID . I know that it is very popular in FCP but I would like to use it in avid . Does anyone know what is is called and where it can be found in AVID ?
Thanks very much.

That tutorial was great. Following that tutorial instructions, how can I add a background image behind the rotating cube?

Add a track to the Avid timeline below the Avid FX track and add your background footage. (Look in the Avid help on how to insert a new video track - I think you hold down Alt when right-clicking the timeline. You have to hold the right-click until you finish selecting the track to insert)
Add a track to the Avid FX timeline and make it the bottom most track. Then set it to point to the appropriate track on the Avid timeline that has your background: V1, V1, etc.
