    Who to email to fix activation issue asap

    Hi, I have an activation issue (my MC thinks it's activated, but it isn't) that needs to be fixed asap (by deactivating my licenses, so that I can reactivate it). It's pretty urgent, since I have clients coming.

    I have emailed marianna.montague@avid.com, who has fixed such an issue for me before, but so far no response.  Are there any other AVID support people who could fix this for me and what would be their email addresses.

    Yann:

    Marianna is at NAB and surely has her hands full there until the end of the week. In the meantime, ping Adam Kranitz, and perhaps he can help you. Be sure to include your system ID number, which you can find in the console window (tools menu) when you first launch the program. Hopefully, you have that number written down somewhere if you can't get into the program.

    Hello BLKDOG,

    I have an activation problem too,

    it seems like the activation page on the avid website doesn't work...

     

    I am currently running media composer on my macbookpro

    but I urgently need to deactivate it on macbookpro and activate it on my iMac

     

    when I try to deactvate the system stops for a while (colored wheel)

    then it says it cannot connect to the internet,

    but my connection is working!

     

    I tried to call customer support (1-800-800...) bu I'm in Italy and I got a message they are closed...

    I have been informed that Avid experienced a failure in it's SAN (Storage Area Network) today. They hope to have it up and running again very soon. They apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

    ...and now the deactivation works!

    Everything but, since I spent the whole afternoon/evening/night trying to understand what could be wrong

    (and making intercontinenatl phone calls, forum researches, etc, ...)

    I guess that it would have been more fair to announce somewhere on the Avid site the SAN failure!
