-Work natively with QuickTime video formats, including Apple ProRes and H.264
-Edit video and audio by dragging and dropping elements in the timeline

-Mix and match frame sizes and aspect ratios — in addition to formats, frame rates, and resolutions — in the same timeline
-Take a break during long renders and have your system email you when the job’s done
-Import AVCHD files directly from cameras and other devices
-Capture to and edit XDCAM HD and DVC PRO HD formats from baseband without additional hardware
-Access low-res XDCAM proxies for offline work, with full-quality audio
-Import text-based ancillary data and embed it in the video signal with the new “Data Track” and SMPTE 436M support using Nitris DX- and Mojo DX-based systems
-View stereo audio tracks as single channels in the timeline for easier handling

TRUE!
and the Forum members will have to give the same answer to most of the threads/questions here:-Does it support Windows 7 (yes, get MC5)-Does it support cheap HD monitoring (yes, get MC5, and Matrox Matrox MXO2 Mini)-Can I import AVCHD (yes, get MC5)-Can I import from my Canon Camera (yes, get MC5)-.... (yes, get MC5)
I just phoned to a friend here who is having the only RED around (I wanted to share my happiness with someone) and he was thrilled. He is sending the r3d files to Athens at a company which has a card for speeding the process but I think this will be a matter of the past now.
Now that MC 5 is a reality, I'm needing to see the Newscutter flavor of it, perhaps Newscutter 9?
Well, it looks like Avid just regained control of the Post Editorial Industry. I am confident that this is just the start of great new developments. Great job!
And if I understand the new GUI timeline correctly, it allows for atleast up to 5 audio effects!?
