Re-assigning OMF and AIF Clips to Another Project

I have several old media directories full of clips I would like to use in a current Project.  The problem is that original project information has been lost for these directories so Media Tool doesn't see these clips.  I tried importing the clips, but that didn't seem to work well (it could not import many clips) and I didn't want to create duplicate clips taking up disk real estate.  I am using the latest MC 4.0 release.  There must be a way to pull these directories into a new project. Help.

If you select all projects in the media tool, they should show up.
