Not really a life or death post, just an observation and praise.
I haven't really had any need so far to use this new v4 feature, but today my boss asked me to test a new Frame Converter software. I did, and it sucked. Tried every variable and couldn't get it to give me acceptable results.
Tried my trusted Mpeg Streamclip, which did a much better job, but still don't perfect.
Tried the Mix & Match in the Avid (both 50i > 59.94 and back) and it did a perfect job. That was right off the bat, and not even counting when you promoted it to Blended or FluidMotion.
Absolutely stunning. And Realtime.
Kudos to everyone at Avid who had anything to do with this. I finally see what all the fuss is about!

The time and frustration saved in the first mix and match job here more than covered the cost of the MC 4 upgrade.!! Great job.
Thanks for the continued dongle support
I agree too.
Used it on 4 or 5 projects already. One of the jobs I just finished involved taking about 15 videos I cut for a convention in native DVCProHD @ 23.97 and inserting them into the imag from the convention itself which was SD 30I. In the past, I had to master out to tape and recapture the tape into the SD project.
This has been a real time saver!
Keep up the good work!
I can't wait to upgrade next week and cut some 1080 60i and 1080 24p material together.
