A BIG problem which has come up a few times so far regarding Software activation help

Well, here is an interesting question - this problem has come up a few times so far on this forum in the last number of days.

If you can not / forget to De-Auth your system or have a crash ets... and need to call support - how can you or which number do you call so you can actuyally SPEAK with someone?? what if you are out in the field and need your system up and running  ASAP? so far, the only option told to these people were to email Marianna or Blkdog to get their system running. What if it CAN'T WAIT???

seems no one can get through without a support contract unless I am missing something? is there a special number for software activation problems?

can anyone shed some light on this matter?

    P.S.

That is why we still use the DONGLES....

    Hi all,

    Quite simple......

In the US or example, you call 800-800-2843 and select Option #2 that is for parts, RMA's and software activation questions and requests.  You will get through and a tech will assist you.

I would need to check tomorrow what #'s are used for Europe and Asia Pac.

Thanks Marianna. Although I continue to use and advocate for the dongle, it's nice to see, once again, superior customer support coming from you and Avid.

    Thanks Chris...  :)

Just to clarify people....  you call 800-800-2843 and press option #2 ( parts, RMA, activation queries).   Then you listen to our own Jolaine talk for a bit and press option #2 again for activation.  You get routed to support.

I just did it myself to make sure it worked at expected and sure enough... I connected to a nice gent called George.  Who by the way was flustered when he heard "marianna from Avid".

    :)
