    Am i able to upgrade?

    Greetings...

    I have MCA working on xw8200 station, The version of the MCA is 2.8.4. The Avid support that I had and that alloweded me to upgrade for one year up to vg2.8.4 has finished..

    but a month ago I saw all v.3.XX versions and even v4.0.2 avaibale to download but I'm not sure if it'll allow me to upgrade my pretty old system...Any suggestions & thoughts?

    The 8200 and the Adrenaline are both still supported on 4.0 (But don't expect a lot of speed). One thing you'll want to do is make sure you have at least 4 gigs of ram though.

    If Your support contract is over it's a paid upgrade.

    Thanks all..but luca everybody is able to download the versions, which wasn't the case in the past, do you think they don't contain the versioner file or something?

    Vetalogy,

    MC 3.5 and MC 4.0 are paid for upgrades.  While you can certainly download the software you wont have access to the dngle avd file to upgrade your dongle.  That file can be obtained by buying the upgrade and in turn receiving the code that allows you to access the avd file.
